Three players. One team. A unique format on one of Santa Barbara's most pristine private courses.
Competitive Camaraderie.
Founded for fun. The best day in golf, once a year. Creating year-round camaraderie through competition.
Blade & Grass Club is not a club in the traditional sense. There are no dues, no dress codes, no waiting lists. There is one day, one field, and one format worth coming back for every time.
The Original Threesomes is a team competition unlike any other. Each team of three players splits into a solo competitor and a two-man best ball partnership — both playing net scoring throughout all 18 holes.
The team's combined score is the sum of the individual net result and the best ball net result. The format rewards balance: depth in every slot matters.
After 18 holes of stroke play, the top four teams advance to a three-hole playoff on holes 16 through 18. Lowest combined team score takes the title.
A time-honored tradition brought to the eve of The Original Threesomes. Speed Quarters is a fast-paced, high-stakes drinking game of skill and nerve — and the winner takes the entire pot.
Participation is fully optional and open to any player in the field. Entry is $20 cash, paid at the event. The tournament runs Sunday evening starting at 6:30 PM.
Sign up during team registration or show up Sunday night ready to play.
Side pot contributions from all 72 players, brought as cash on the day of the event.
The tradition is young. The competition has never been closer.
